Making Spirits Bright-
Advent is upon us and this year we’re going to throw a big Christmas Party at St. Luke’s on December 20th. We will serve a home-cooked meal and present each guest with a backpack filled with goodies. Here’s what we need from you: 120 wallets, 120 hats, 120 pairs of gloves, 120 pairs of socks, 120 angels (coin, pin, ornament). But most of all, money which can be used to purchase backpacks, subway cards and bus passes. We need all donations by December 16th please. Thank you!!
The Women’s Day and Night Circles will meet on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm at Kitty Cannon’s, 160 Azalea Garden Way. Parking is limited so you may want to carpool from the church. Mary Allison will teach. We'll have cookies and tea. Please remember to bring warm fuzzies (socks and undies for children) for the Memphis Family Shelter.
Nurture Team - Advent Dinners
Dinners this month are on Wednesday, December 3rd, 10th & 17th at 6pm with Lessons & Carols to follow. Please sign-up in the narthex. Come one, come all.
Rehearsal is at 7:00 pm, each Wednesday in the Sanctuary, December 3rd, 10th & 17th. After the 17th, there will be no more rehearsals until January 14th.
The Red Boot Bible Study
The Red Boot Bible Study ends our fall semester with a comparison of the stories of Jesus’ birth or origins according to each of the four canonical gospels. No class December 18th or 25th. We’ll resume late in January!

Shady Grove Kids
The guardians of childhood will rise this Saturday during Starry Night! Kids come celebrate the start of Advent by watching Rise of the Guardians in the Fellowship Hall! In Sunday School we will explore what beautiful is, what makes us beautiful, and how do we get this way?
Foundations of Faith
Sundays from 11:45 to 12:30. Come explore the themes of Advent and its offerings for the modern life. (Foundations will take a break Dec 28th through late January.)
